In Samoa HIV and AIDS is a virus that people are still trying to understand. Samoa AIDS Foundation has programs in place that targets the community and youths to change their way of thinking and to gain knowledge on the modes of transmission and prevention.

SAF is a non-political, non-discriminatory, non-governmental membership based organization which facilitate and advocates for the social economic development of people infected and affected by HIV and AIDS and the creations of social structures that address the issues of care and support and prevention, working in partnership with relevant organizations and the broader community.

SAF envisions a society which prevents the infection of STI, HIV and AIDS, accepts, cares for, supports, empowers, and defends the rights of People Living With HIV and AIDS (PLWHA) to live as humans with full potential in Samoa.
